Obliques was an exhibition project in three fragments, as part of a cultural exchange between Swiss and British artists. During the first instalment the public were invited to read different scripts, laid out on plinths of different height. The artists were not permitted to participate at the first event. Subsequently, the artists were allocated a script according to their physical height, with the tallest artist receiving the script on the shortest plinth. Over the course of the next two weeks the Glue Factory became a public studio space for the artists, who created individual art pieces in response to the particular script they were given and afterwards presented their work to the public.
