The grant from SCF helped secure the necessary conditions for making the performance of 'Hummus' possible, covering the accommodation and flights of various artists from abroad. Lebanese composer Zad Moultaka’s work is acquiring international recognition, but this was the first time his music has been performed in the UK. I am also grateful for the opportunity to further develop my own practice in relation to contemporary opera.
