The closing event for Tate Modern’s Shape of Light exhibition featured Swiss artist Maya Rochat, who presented a live-painting performance in Tate Modern’s South Tank, accompanied by spherical sounds by sound artist Buvette. In her immersive performance, Rochat activated her large-scale photographic hangings and projections while engaging with the surrounding space. Using an old-fashioned projector she dripped and splashed colours onto the projector and mixed them right there, creating an original performance - a moving, contemplative collage which allowed the mutating image to reflect a world in permanent flux.
